Sean Angle
Partner, Richards Butler
Sean Angle, 44, formerly resident managing partner of Trowers & Hamlin's Muscat office, has joined Richards Butler in Dubai as partner. Richards Butler is one of the longest established Middle East practices of any UK firm, and Sean Angle will lead its new office in Dubai. Based in the Middle East for more than 14 years he has extensive experience of leading teams on major project work and large corporate transactions, as well as providing general commercial advice to regional and international clients. Says Angle, "Firms in the Middle East and wider region have to recognise the ever growing importance of Dubai. Richards Butler's decision to open here presents a fantastic opportunity for our firm to participate further in the development of one of the world's fastest growing and most dynamic economies. Having a presence in DIFC is the right move for us. The atmosphere and professionalism created by the DIFC people is second to none, and it is a privilege to be part of it."

Peter Evans
Projects Director, PRDnationwide
Evans will be leading a team in the launch of the new residential development at Barr al Jissah Resort and Spa. He has 13 years of experience in residential project marketing with PRDnationwide in Australia. A qualified real estate valuer from Queensland University, he also worked with National Australia Bank. Says Evans, "This is a new market, as far as real estate is concerned. But there are very good sites here, which will make for first class residential projects. I would like to be part of the process to deliver more world-class projects to Oman."

Eyhab al Hajj
Director of Business Development, Nawras
Eyhab al Hajj, who was department head of strategy and planning, has been promoted to director of business development at Nawras. Hajj, who holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Imperial College and a financial MBA from Nottingham University, joined Nawras in January 2005, after ten years with PDO. Hajj describes himself as someone who is excited by new tasks. "I am looking for feedback. You get more results when you listen and also empower people."

Hany Maurice
Business Development Manager, Bahwan CyberTek
The technical, academic and commercial aspects of work all interest this manager, who, in the past, has worked as a systems administrator with Xerox Egypt. Maurice, who holds a degree in Information Technology and Computer Science from Cairo University, also worked with Trends Solutions and Services, a Cairo-based Oracle partner. Says Maurice, "I would like to make more people aware of Bahwan CyberTek's services and events and the new partnerships that we have."

Ian Gladwin
partner and general manager, Cluttons Oman
Gladwin, who worked as a senior surveyor for Cluttons Oman from 1997-1999, has returned as the general manager. A graduate in estate management from the University of Westminster, UK, he is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Gladwin says the Cluttons Muscat office will expand due to increased work in the fields of investment, development and consultancy. "With land value increasing here, this is a very busy and exciting time for us."
