Léon Hatot unveils its latest collection Le Temps d' Aimer in Muscat

As they walked in to Ramesh and Madhvi Khimji's beautiful home, the first thing that all the guests did, and unashamedly so – after greeting their host – was stare at the recesses in the walls. Glittering pieces of jewellery held the eye as one took in the swirling intricacy of some of the designs and the geometric precision of others. Watches held their own – with design, sparkling stones and sheer glamour fighting for the upper hand and leaving the wrist waiting for a feel.

Léon Hatot unveiled its latest collection 'Le Temps d'Aimer - special collection Nelly Makdessy' at the Khimji residence recently. H H Haitham bin Tariq bin Taimur al Said was the chief guest for the evening. Arlette-Elsa Emch, president of Leon Hatot, gave a brief speech followed by a scintillating performance by the Lebanese singer, Nelly Makdessy, the ambassador of the brand.

Three special versions of Maison Léon Hatot's Le Temps d'Aimer collection was dedicated to its ambassador: '...timeless words expressed in diamonds, garnets or sapphires, for an independent young woman who is both beautiful and strong.' To complement each version of the jewellery set, the Léon Hatot has created three elegant oval-shaped watches with a white mother-of-pearl or pink-lacquered dial. These timepieces feature a steel case set with eight diamonds, eight orange garnets or eight pink sapphires.

The Le Temps d'Aimer collection, which means a time to love in English, is unique due to the fact that the items are solely marketed for women. Many of the pieces were adorned with 'Coup de Foudre' diamonds and many of the watches showcased were multi-functional – posing as both a watch and an item of jewellery. According to Emch, the watches are handmade, exclusive and limited. These pieces target women who possess strong ideas and perso-nality. "Of course they must also be trendsetters and have a good sense of taste," adds Emch.
