- Donald Trump, real estate and entertainment mogul
We could write about the life and times of the Omani entrepreneur and never finish. Beginning from the days of the date merchants to today’s young technocrat, entrepreneurship in Oman has gone through various iterations. In the pages of BusinessToday, you have read about many entrepreneurs through the years, their trials and tribulations and of course, their successes.
This time, we decided to step back a bit and look at the young entrepreneurs from the outside: what are the dynamics of his existence? Why are so many young men and women looking at starting their own business? What do they need to fulfill their destinies? Our cover story explores a few avenues that define the moment in time where our young entrepreneur is poised.
We are usually so busy watching the big local banks breathe, that often we forget the foreign banks who are quietly going about their business, very efficiently and with a clear focus. We are talking about banks that are very big in their country but in Oman, they lead a niche yet profitable, existence. In this case, being small gives them the ability to be nimble in reacting to customer needs.
