From its modest cube recess in the CCC, Sidewalk delivers everything you could possibly want, starting right from its involved breakfasts. You can start your day at 8am with pancake combinations, Belgian waffles served with chicken or beef, or classic scrambled eggs, with cheese, hash browns and sausages. Indulge yourself with the 'Ultimate Omelette,' with its two eggs, green peppers, mushrooms, onions and diced tomatoes. Topped with cheese and served with bread, it might just last you the day. Have all this with your choice of brew, from a mocha to the Pride of Kenya.

If all this is not enough, try their sinful specialities: blueberry pancakes, apple pie, cookies, cinnamon rolls and hot fudge brownies. How could you possibly resist? The other end of the scale would be to go light and make do with the Chef's Special: slices of turkey breast and roasted chicken on top of mixed greens with tomatoes, cucumbers, a hard boiled egg and cheese.

Meanwhile, you can try these recipes at home. For the real experience, though, you'll have to head to Sidewalk.



Philli Melt
Garlic butter
Melted cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup
Roast beef, 5 thinly cut slices Lettuce, 50g
Mushroom, 30g Submarine bread
Onion, half  

Method
Cut the bread in half and toast it. Spread garlic butter. Put five slices of roast beef, lettuce, sliced onions and sautéed mushrooms. Melt the cheese in a cup in a microwave oven and pour over the filling. Serve with coleslaw and French fries.



Club Sandwich
Garlic butter Fried egg, one
Shredded chicken, half cup Lettuce
Roast beef, 2 slices White bread, 3 slices
  Tomato, 1 slice

Method
Toast the bread and apply butter. On the first layer spread the shredded chicken (mixed with 1 spoon of mayonnaise, salt and pepper). Add one slice of tomato and lettuce and cover it with the next slice. Put fried egg and two slices of roast beef and cover it with the next slice. Cut the edges of the bread. Serve with French fries and coleslaw.



Spudz
 Boiled potato
Chopped capsicum
Cheese, 1tb sp Tomato ketchup
Boiled chicken, 150g Mixed greens, 2 tb sp
Mushroom, 30g  

Method
Put the boiled potato in aluminium foil and bake it. Take a pan and put the chopped mushroom, capsicum and chicken, mix with cheese, ketchup and hot chilli sauce and sauté it properly. Cut the potato from the side and stuff with the filling. Serve with mixed green salad and boiled pasta (sautéed with tomato ketchup, onions and capsicum).



Pita Pocket
 Arabic khubus, half slice

Mixed green salad, half cup

Tandoori chicken, 1 leg piece Spiral pasta half cup

Method
Take the bones off the chicken tikka and stuff in the opening of the bread. Add chopped onions and top with sour cream. Serve with mixed green salad and boiled pasta (sautéed with tomato ketchup onions and capsicum).
